Unstyling, pre-poo or pre-cleaning, cleaning

Un-styling/Taking down braids/plaits/tresses for wash day and pre-poo

1. Spray water on the braids and oil them 
2. Unravel a braid 
3. Spray water and oil the unravelled braid, if needed (pre-poo)
4. Detangle with fingers and then, if needed, detangle with a wide/medium tooth comb, according to the braid size, in order to remove shed hair and tangles 
5. Move to the next braid
6. Put your hair into sections gradually (2 to 12 sections)

Pre-poo or pre-cleaning without braids to unravel

Spray water and oil hair. Put hair into sections (2 to 12 sections).

Pre-poo is done in general with water and oil.
We can also use any product that ease hair manipulation like conditioner, detangler, aloe vera gel if necessary.

Pre-poo allows to pre-detangle hair (finger, wide/medium tooth comb).

Pre-poo reduce the stripping effect of shampoo.

Pre-poo nourrishes, softens and eases the hair manipulation for the following steps. 

Pre-poo is useful after a protective style that lasted for more than 2 weeks.

When pre-pooing with conditioner, for instance, if there is less slip than pre-poo with oil
then you should add oil to have more slip. 

The sitting time can vary from 10 minutes to 1 hour or more.

Cleaning cycle

Here is a sample of hair cleaning rotation :

1. Moisturizing (gentle) sulfate-free and protein-free shampoo / Co-wash
2. Clarifying shampoo
3. DIY : Clay mask (Rhassoul/Bentonite/Kaolin)
4. DIY : Black African soap shampoo / Alep soap shampoo / Castille soap shampoo

L'organisation, l'environnement, les méthodes de travail, les capacités de chacun, ce que l'on fait (ou ce que l'on est capable de faire) . Ainsi, planifier notre journée est très importante. Bien sûr, tous les jours ne seront pas identiques mais doivent avoir un "modèle" plutôt similaire. En effet, chaque jour, tout le monde a besoin de dormir (suffisamment), de manger (aussi sainement que possible) et aussi d'être actif (manuellement et intellectuellement). Dormir (8h à 10h), Manger (2h) et Bouger (2h) ou se Déplacer un minimum prennent environ déjà la moitié de la journée. Day Planning, Activities, School Follow Up, Profession Choice, Life Cycle     EN (English) Day Planning A day has 24 hours for everyone. So what makes the difference? The organisation or schedule, the environment, the working methods, our own capacities, what we do (or are able to do). So, planning our day is very important. Of course, all of our days are not going to be identical but they should have a pretty similar "model". Indeed, every day, everyone need to sleep (enough), to eat (as healthy as possible) and also to be active (manually and intellectually). Sleeping (8h to 10h), eating (2h) and moving (2h) a little take already almost half of the day. It remains then around 12 hours at our disposal to really capitalize.
