DIYs recipes for a full wash day
In this article, I present some very useful DIYs recipes for a full wash day : pre-poo, cleanser mask, shampoo, deep treatment, leave-in, whipped butter, pomade, gel, lotion spray bottle.
Those recipes can be used to alternate or mix with store-bought products. Those recipes are also useful when you ran out of your favorite products. Moreover, DIYs are in general cleaner than strore-bought products. Hence, we should use as much as organic and pure natural ingredients as possible.
Below are my favorite DIYs.
Notes : tbsp (table spoon or 15ml), tsp (tea spoon or 5ml).

Pre-poo - Hot (tepid) oil treatment
6 tbsp of 1 oil (olive oil, avocado oil)
or
3 tbsp of 2 different oils (olive oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, castor oil)
or
2 tbsp of 3 different oils (olive oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, castor oil)
Note : Preservation for as long as you want in a place away from heat.

Clay wash mask (water, clay, tea tree essential oil)
3 to 6 tbsp of clay (bentonite, rhassoul, kaolin)
200ml of hot (not boiling) water
10 drops of vitamin E
10 drops of tea tree essential oil
Note 1 : Preservation for 1 week in a place away from heat.

Shampoo (water, soap, tea tree essential oil)
20g black african soap / alep soap
100ml of hot (not boiling) water
Let the soap dissolve completely
10 drops of vitamin E
10 drops of tea tree essential oil
Note : Preservation for 1 week in a place away from heat.

Deep Treatment (avocado/banana/yoghurt/conditioner/mask, egg, honey, oils, essential oils)
4 tbsp of oils/butters (olive oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, castor oil, shea butter, mango butter)
1 egg
1 tbsp of honey
4 tbsp of yoghurt or of grinded and strainered/filtered avocado/banana or conditioner
10 drops of vitamin E
10 drops of essential oil of peppermint/tea-tree/ylang-ylang

Leave-in (aloe vera gel, olive oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, castor oil, vitamin E)
8 tbsp of aloe vera gel
1 tbsp of olive oil (or avocado oil)
1 tbsp of grapeseed oil (or castor oil)
10 drops of vitamin E
or
8 tbsp of aloe vera gel
1/2 tbsp of olive oil
1/2 tbsp of avocado oil
1/2 tbsp of grapeseed oil
1/2 tbsp of castor oil
10 drops of vitamin E
Notes :
1. Store-bought aloe vera gel contains already glycerin and preservatives.
2. Preservation for 1 week in a place away from heat if the gel has been made directly from the plant by oneself.
3. Preservation according to the store-bought gel.

Whipped butter (shea butter, olive oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, castor oil, vitamin E)
4 tbsp of shea butter
2 tbsp of grapeseed oil
2 tbsp of castor oil
10 drops of vitamin E
or
4 tbsp of shea butter
1 tbsp of olive oil
1 tbsp of avocado oil
1 tbsp of grapeseed oil
1 tbsp of castor oil
10 drops of vitamin E
Note 1 : Preservation for as long as you want in a place away from heat.
Note 2 : shea butter = oils
Note 3 : Whipped shea butter can be used also on the skin, especially on lips, hands, feet, elbows and knees.

Pomade = thick whipped butter (shea butter, olive oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, castor oil, vitamin E)
4 tbsp of shea butter
1 tbsp of grapeseed oil
1 tbsp of castor oil
10 drops of vitamin E
or
4 tbsp of shea butter
1/2 tbsp of olive oil
1/2 tbsp of avocado oil
1/2 tbsp of grapeseed oil
1/2 tbsp of castor oil
10 drops of vitamin E
Note 1 : Preservation for as long as you want in a place away from heat.
Note 2 : shea butter = 2 * oils
Note 3 : Shea butter pomade can be used also on the skin, especially on lips, hands, feet, elbows and knees.

Gel (water, flaxseed, tea tree essential oil)
1/3 cup of flaxseed
3 cups of water
Boil until it starts tickening and foaming and you can still filter it with a strainer
which means for about 10 minutes after starting boiling at medium heat
Filter with a fine strainer
10 drops of vitamin E
10 drops of tea tree essential oil per 100ml of gel
Note : Preservation for 1 week in the fridge preferably or in a place away from heat.
